We bade farewell last week to our friend and colleague Liam Ó Muirí who died on 1st January. Liam had worked as receptionist and administrative officer with Comhairle na Gaelscolaíochta since 2005. All who have visited our office will remember Liam as a kind and pleasant man who always had a smile even through his health problems. Liam bravely battled illness for 13 years and this was a constant source of inspiration to his colleagues in this office. But he was taken into the hospice a short time before Christmas. All his family and friends were with him when he passed away on new year’s morning. He is survived by his wife Bernie and his two children, Liam and Amy. On behalf of the Irish-medium sector, all his colleagues and the Members of the Board we extend our sincerest sympathy to Bernie and to all his surviving relatives. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
